At least three eggs have been laid
I can confirm that there are at least three eggs in the nest. At the moment you can't see them because the female has covered the eggs over with nest material. There could be two reasons why they do this, it could be to keep the eggs a little warmer or maybe it could be to hide the eggs from other animals that may enter that nest looking for food. Also, the female will lay her eggs over a period of a few days. She will only start sitting on the eggs once they are all laid. However, nature is very clever and even though some of the eggs may have been in the nest for a few days without being incubated they all start forming at the same time once the female start sitting on them.

Are my eyes deceiving me?
I could have sworn that I saw at least three eggs in the nesting box last night. Maybe it was just my eyes playing tricks on me.

I hope everybody is enjoying watching my blue tits
The blue tits have been busy building their nest for over a week and the female spends the whole night in the box now. This is most likely to check that the boxes safe and won't get disturbed. I can't say for sure but I would guess that it will be another week or two before you start seeing eggs being laid. The bird can lay up to 14 of 15 eggs and this will take up to a week. Only after all of the eggs have been laid will she then start sitting on them day and night.
