Hi all, my name is Anna and I'm from North Carolina. I've never kept Oscars before but I have had experience in community aquariums and decided to get myself a large tank and expand my hobby!
I currently have a 55 gallon community tank with guppies, platys, tetras, and 2 Pictus cats. My big tank is a 120 gallon that currently houses a tiger Oscar (about 3 inches) and an albino tiger Oscar (about 3.5 inches) and also a Lima shovelnose cat (about 5 inches). My tank was cycling for about 2 months and finally about a month ago it was stable and ready for fish! So I haven't had my oscars very long, but I already love them.
I appreciate this forum so much and have learned so much already!! I'm finding a lot of information to help me be a great fish mom! lol I've added a couple pictures of my fish, hope you like them!!

Hello and welcome to OFL. Lets hope your Oscars get along. Always a roll of the dice with a pair. Dont be disappointed if it doesnt work out, its quite common in the cichlid world for things to go bad. Could also be a lifetime pairing. Good luck, keep us posted!

Nice sorubim lima. It looks like a mini version of the piraiba.

Thank you! She's beautiful. That's what drew me to her in the first place, a nice active catfish but kind of a mini monster! :)

Thank you! I do hope they get along. So far so good but I know that can change in an instant. No real aggression yet, I've seen them lip lock once a few days ago but that's all so far. Hoping for the best but I have a good relationship with my LFS and if things don't work out and I don't have the means to accommodate them both separately, he will take one back. I would hate to have to do that but I don't want either stressed or injured.
