Hey my husband very recently got a fish tank he bought from someone moving. There's a Oscar and 4 convict cichlids in it.. The Oscar is swimming on its side on and off and also getting bullied and nipped at by the convicts.. Is it safe to have them all
In one tank? It's a 45g ( note: we just got the tank a week ago and are still learning about it these fish so don't bash me for not having a 55g just for the Oscar itself) I
Don't care about the convicts my fav is the Oscar and vice versa with my husband... I just want him to be okay!

convicts can be nasty little fish especially when breeding not to mention the aggression from tank size so I would definitely remove them before they kill the oscar

and a oscar on its side is 1 of 2 thing number 1 is its sleeping and number 2 is its scared/stressed

He's deff not sleeping and maybe is stressed about being bullied.. Cause he eats just fine so I don't know :( I figured though that they shouldn't all be tanked together ..

I am starting to believe it could be a bladder problem as my larger tiger has picked on my smaller one lately
