normally, fiberfloss aka fiber wool should be readily available at any petmart...
in case they don't you can opt to look at the textile store who sell quilt materials,
it is the padding materials being used in quilt or comforter... the only problem is...
store textile store sell it in bulk LOL!

I think you mentioned something about a salt solution? Should we be doing that? Thank you. :)

Walmart or Joann fabric store sells it for much cheaper, like $ 6 for a large bag. Look for Poly-fil quilt batting. Make sure that there are no mold inhibitors.

Just got to work, Oscar is still with us. He's still laying on bottom of tank gasping. Tomorrow another water change. I feel so bad for him. :(

Sorry...more questions. I'll remove gravel tomorrow with tank change. He is laying on the rocks....will he be OK without the rocks and just a glass bottom....should we put in sand, is that better? I did remove all the plants as well. Thank you. Getting filter floss today and getting carbon out of there.

Bare glass bottom will be fine. The objective is to keep his environment clean, so no sand either. He may like a bit of deco, couple larger rocks or a chunk of wood, plastic plants. Just something he can get behind, less stress with some cover. How is he doing today? Its water change day!

Hi, thank you for your advice and your help. Sadly, our mascot, Oscar Anthony, passed away yesterday afternoon. He was a very loved fish and we all miss him. Thank you for your help. :)
