Its possible the damage around the eye is restricting eyeball rotation. I don't think the backwards swimming is related. Swimming mode is secondary, we gotta get those sores closed up.

Sounds good. I wasn't sure if it was something to worry about.
Still doing 50% water changes every day. Ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates are all non detect. Carl has eaten but Gord hasn't yet. I'm going to try some shrimp today to see if he's more interested in that. I know he'll get hungry enough and he's probably just being a big sucky baby, but I like to keep all my other fish on varied diets and the articles on this site recommend it as well. Saturday is always treat day for my fish anyway!
The sores on Carl's head seem to already be healing a bit. The bloody spots he had from the move are gone. I don't spend as much time with Gord since he's at mom's house but I think he seems to be healing a bit too.

That's a good report. Don't panic about not eating. Adult Oscar can go an ridiculous amount of time and not touch a crumb of anything. Many weeks actually. We want him to feed long before that of course, keep the system strong. Get some Boyds Vitachem. Its a liquid supplement. Couple drops on some food couple times a week. Does very well for all fish. Oh yeah, I have to review the photos, but you may want to rename at least one of those fish. Its a girl! Carla maybe? LOL!

Ha ha okay! I wasn't sure. I read the article on the site but I'm just not experienced enough to really tell. I'll try to get some better photos of their under sides for you. I would definitely like to know!
We won't worry about them eating just yet. I'm used to much smaller fish so 2 or 3 days without eating is not good.

Thanks again for all the help!!
