I live down the bottom of Tazzie, in Hobart, on the eastern shore. The best populated place in Taz. The best unpopulated places are the most beautiful to go camping. Up the top of Taz, north west there are a few beautifully amazing places you wouldn't think you could fing after going to the major spots, Hobart, Bicheno, Devonport, Launceston(hole), it is really a hole. No, it is! It's situated in a hole near the middle of Taz!!! haha. I just dont really like it there, it's very small, and small minded. But I think for the best place to live in Taz is definantly here. To travell around Taz to the more beautiful spots it doesnt take to long by car. So thats pretty cool. In the middle of Taz though, it is considerably warmer, which sucks....the ONLY good thing about Launceston.:pinch:

I suppose the further south you go, the colder it will get.. So, do you ever go over to the mainland? Is it an easy journey, does it take a long time and is it expensive? Where do people from Australia go on holiday? It's such a huge country, travelling to the other side of Australia would be like me going to the other side of Europe

I may not always be right, but I am always the BOSS :-)

Yeah, it does take quite long to get from one side of Aust to the other. Not that long in Taz. To get to the mainland you can either fly or The Spirit of Tasmania-boat. I'll tell tou, the boat sux sooo bad. It takes so damn long to get from the top of Tazzie to the bottom of Aust-Melbourne. But it is only$22(aus) pp, that is if you dont have a car or want a bed.(it's a massive boat) Flying is alright, but still takes a while, and there's not that mush to see over the water! When you get the right flights, that is, if you're not fussy, it can usually be under $100(aus) and at easter time, you can get fares for$1 one way. How cools that. I haven't been to the mainland much. Once to Brisbane, and once to the Gold Coast, both in Queensland. It's so hot over there though. not like the hot we get in Taz, our's in nice, a hot burning sun. The mainland is so muggy, it's like wading through hot heavy mist.
People from Aust go everywhere, if they can afford it! Usually old people(60-70) with their pensions! A lot of us do travell aroung our own country, I mean, like you said, it is a huge country. I would really love to do that, when I have enough time and money....I'll probably be 60-70 by then!!! haha. We don't get the huge animals like they do on the mainland, well, not near as many. Like Kangeroos. They would be so cool to see. The Red Kangeroo. 6-7 foot tall, all muscle. But not too close, they can kill!
