That looks like a fun fish to catch via rod and reel! Sort of like our northern lakes Muskie!

Thats what I meant to reference. Walleye.

Of course, I dont live anywhere near where those can be caught although I am very close to a "trophy" Bass lake which is really not to common here in NJ or in the north. I haven't been fishing for some years now and tend to enjoy nature rather then trying to catch it, (unless on camera)....

Well with the flooding of fish farms in Florida, Oscars also lay claim to that area as being home. You can catch Oscars in the canals and whatnot. Hence why it is illegal to release fish in public waters, they have the capability to thrive in areas that are similar to thier home regions. So if its Oscar fishing you want. A trip to Florida is all it takes!!

When i said oscar country i meant where they are naturally from not from where they have been introduced to. Saying that if i were ever in florida again (was there for a holiday a decade ago) i would definately put oscar fishing high on my list (suspect it would be low on girlfriends list tho)

I can't get no sleep

I'd kind of feel bad hooking an oscar fish,
Conversely though, I wouldn't feel bad about dragging the wife or girlfiend along. (Of course, I'd be carefull not to include both at the same time):P ;)
