Yeah I feed my oscars Superworms. They ar elike mealworms but bigger. They stink too. All my cichlids love em. I dont feed it to them all the time.

I actually got a question. What about frogs, bull frogs or anytype of frog. My mother in law has an abundance of them and also lizards. I would assume yes since these are common creatures of the Amazon.

Anybody have experience with frogs and even lizards, like gecko's.

i was told that toad and tadpoles are two different things.
frogs that lays eggs in strings are not good to fishes. i was
surprised to know that because tadpoles in my place is considered
as delicacies. lizard, i believe would be fine but gecko??? they
are huge to fit the oscar's mouth. i used to give my o small mice
whenever i got one in my trap at home.... but people here discourage
me of doing so..... first for less nutritional value and second for risk against diseases.

honestly, i don't find it either. frogs are very delicious if cooked it right. and i can't believe that tadpole or toads will be bad for oscar. but that was what i've got in one article i come across. i had feed my oscar a lot of frogs too until i got those information.

nevertheless, i can share this saying "what works for other may not work for you". just take the other way around.....

That's fine, but in the future you do not have to boil/steam them, they'll take 'em raw.

As soon as you start cooking things, you start losing the goodness so definitely feed them raw, and with their shells on where possible

I may not always be right, but I am always the BOSS :-)
