I agree. I would have never guessed that Steve would go like that. I thought definantly snake. And yes, I do believe there may be a possibility here that there is a small group of Tazzie Tigers. Some places I have been it's hard enough to walk into, you can't see the sky, the shrub is so dense there's no way possible to walk on safely. My dad really wants to find one. He's totally hooked!! As for the mountain lion, well, they're smart! They know humans aren't for eating, if you do, you get shot. They probably sit on a ridge watching the people walk through, daring each other to try one! Hehe. I don't know, but I do reckon there's a chance the Tigers are still here. I mean, when you go on a long walk, like to some of the falls here, absolutely beautiful, 3-5 hours in and 3-5 back out on foot. In all the time you're walking I rarely see any animals at all. Besides a roo or two. But animals know that we're trouble.

UFOs, Sasquatch, ghosts, you name it, I love it all. Some people who say they have seen these creatures whether it be a Tasmanian Tiger, Sasquatch etc are often people who know what they are looking at and would gain nothing from telling porkies. We have the same sort of thing here, many people have seen big cats such as pumas roaming wild, a lot of these people are actually involved in looking after wildcats themselves so they should know what they are looking at. However, you have your sceptics who just dismiss the idea of big cats roaming wild. I know who I would believe. I think it's a fascinating subject.

When dad was younger he was out hunting with his brother and a mate, just for wallabies and little things. They were out in the very dense middle of nowhere when dad spotted a huge thing. When I say huge, dad said it was HUGE. It was much bigger than a man, we don't have bears so it wasn't that. It was black, hairy, dad said all three of them stood still for 10 minutes dripping cold sweat, when it walked off...on two legs??? They ran miles back to the tents, scooped up all they could into the car and took off! They were too scared to stay. Dad has never forgotten what it looked like. My friend was hunting with her father and brother in Nugent here in Hobart. Again, thick bush at night. My friends brother felt someone treading on his heels. So he turned around and told them off.....but there was no one there. My friend and her dad were ahead of him. He didn't think about it until it happened again. It spooked the shit out of him and his dad took the back instead saying it was stupid. Next thing, my friends dad said they were going to head back off home. He had the same thing happen, but also felt like someone trying to push past him!!! I've had so many spooky stories!!

The Yowie, Australia's equivalent to the Sasquatch. I've seen quite a few programmes about this and there is no doubt in my mind that there is probably something down in Australia. If you think about it, it's probably one of the most remote places on earth. It would be so easy for something to live without being interrupted by humans.

If you look at a map of Tazzie, NO I'm not talking about a certain region of the female body!!! For all you people that have dirty minds like me and would have thought that right away!! If you look at all the places that are actually lived in, it's very remote. The major areas like Hobart, Launceston, Devonport and Burnie are clustered, but it's not really that big of a population compared to the space. Which is good, I would like to keep some bushland around us.

Naughty naughty

Launceston England isn't very far from me, as is Devonport, around 26 miles away.

Just keep your camera at hand when you are out, you never know.
