That's a cute little oscar. :)

He's much better off having the 30g to himself. But he will grow fast so you'll want to get a larger tank for him very soon. In the meantime, it's very important that you keep up with water changes.

you guys really do know your stuff and do try to help others out
Olaf is getting use to his 30G by himself I think he likes it better at least he seems to swim around more then before

Also how can you tell if it is a he or she???

It's very difficult to accurately distinguish between male and female oscars, especially when they are young. There are some indicators that show up later when they approach maturity, but it's mostly still guesswork. I just decided that mine looked like a male when I got him and I've been referring to him as a he ever since. :)

I think mines a male that's why I named him Olaf from Frozen :)
he's so cute and happy at least I'm happy with him :)
