There fun to watch at that age ... kind of makes me wish mine was that young again. They really like those wafers ... when they get bigger you can just flip those in their mouth no problem. Being omnivores, veggies are an important part of their diet. My oscar likes the aqueon wafers.

I don't give Henry algae discs any more. He goes insane for them (which is good) but last time I offered some to my SDs he managed to steal almost all of them (which was 10+) then spent half an hour drifting around with his mouth stuffed to the point he couldn't close it.

Lesson learned.

So I'm guessing it's normal for them to like these
I was trying to give them to my rainbow shark and alage eater thats in the tank with the Oscars
I think this red Oscar is going to be a hand full LOL
he's already beating the crap out of Olaf and I am hoping that Olaf doesn't die but I guess we will see

If one of your fish is beating the crap out of the other then why on earth aren't you separating them?! Taking a 'we'll wait and see' attitude to whether one of your fish gets beaten to death or not is a terrible attitude to take. You need to relocate or re-home one of your oscars as soon as possible if the aggression is anywhere near what you've described.

Is Olaf the albino in your profole pic? I wouldn't want to take a chance with that oscar. I'd re-home or return the red oscar ... very doubtful it is as impressive a specimen as the albino/lutino. It's also possible that Olaf is just stressed from being harrased and that no physical damage has been done at this point. The sooner Olaf has the tank to his/herself the better.

@UNC - considering she said 'beating the crap out of' I have my doubts it's just stress.

They are in a 55 gallon that is only filled with about 60-70% -- so about 40 gallons of water. Two oscars in a shallow 4 foot tank is not a recipe for success.
