Tera told me about it, he was hoping he was trying to breed them, and not as food.

Also that the clearest fish he could see was the cat stuck to the front of the tank.

He changed the ad to Sold recently, which I was annoyed about, because I was linking it to people so they could see Malekith! But he might have changed it, or put another ad up. He did have those other fish he wanted to sell. I just hope someone nice gets that cat.

I hope someone even nicer gives him an earful.

Malekith Update: Now regularly eating pellets. She had five in quick succession, and I umm'ed and ahh'ed and eventually gave her a sixth one, which she had trouble with. Seems she's a 5 pellet girl.

Next step is to get her eating peas.

EDIT: As some people don't know, Malekith is the male villain in Thor 2. Here's a video of a 'tribute' to the character. I find the person's song choice amusing, and it does have some nice footage. And unintentional slash that still makes me giggle.

The conditions Malekith were in were so bad that I think regular water changes and epsom salt soaked pellets will take care of any HITH that may be there. I thought I a saw little erosion around the nostrils but it should heal up now that he's being taken care of. You might want to add boyd's vitachem as a supplement also. I wonder what was making the water yellow? I've seen dirty water that was brown, green, or just cloudy but not yellow. Weird.

Well, there were a few cats in there. Maybe they were eating the poop, therefore diluting it enough to be yellow, and not brown?

Good work, Rogue. Malekith is in much better hands now. Thanks for caring. You're a good person.

@UNC: I'm assuming the yellow water was just from dissolved organics and high nitrate. Same situation as the little Freddy/jag I got had, but not to quite the same severity.

Goranothos- I'm not that good a person. I just fell in love with an O that needed some help. Though, if you really think so, I'm taking donations for building stands, and replacing a cracked glass panel in a 6x2x2... :P :silly:

@Lamm- so, basically one guy some water changes when he could be stuffed to, and the other pretty much didn't do any? :P

Rogue_Violetta replied the topic: Malekith Update.

Malekith is doing as well as can be expected, eating fine, etc.

Lamm and Mr Lamm dropped over last night (Thank you again sooo much for the seachem and epsom salt!), and Lamm got to feed her- she's made a new friend now, lol.

Unfortunately, it is official. The red mark above Malekith's eye that was fading, turned out to be turning into a hole. She definitely has HITH/LLE. Still early stages, thankfully, but we're going to have our work cut out for us, what with a 55g tank atm.

Bit upset at this, but not really surprised. Does make me want to slap the former 'owner' a bit more.

And to make it all a lot better, the new filter, which was seeded liberally from the community tank's filter, appeared to not have enough, and is now cycling.

Poor Malekith. We're doing our best here, and I am soooo thankful for the seachem, because of it's ammonia binding properties.

But gbhdsbjlgvujysdrpgbfgvjkd bsudbsjk!
