OFL created the topic: A message for Tara

You have sent me a couple of e-mails and I have returned them. Unfortunately, the mail keeps coming back to me. If you do come across this message on the forum, this is what I replied to do your e-mails with:

It will be easier for me if you could send a photo. I'm not sure what you
mean by cotton like flesh hanging. There is a disease called cotton wool disease but until I can see a photo, I can't say whether it is the same thing you are talking about. Personally, I think you need to be doing
more and bigger water changes. 10 gallons every two weeks doesn't seem big enough on the tank of your size with the size fish you have. If you are
replacing the water with bottled water, then you don't need to treat the
water because bottled water won't contain chlorine. Now, is the prime you
are using the one that neutralises chlorine, ammonia and nitrite? If this
is the same stuff then to be perfectly honest, I really don't think it's
worth spending the money on unless you are just using it to treat the water
for chlorine. What you need to do is carry out extra tank maintenance. You
need to be doing to decent water changes a week until you see an
improvement. You will also need to test the water. The problem is, if you
keep using prime, you are not going to be able to get an accurate reading on
ammonia and nitrite. Like I said, if you can take a photo, I can have a
good look at it compare it to some photos here.

I may not always be right, but I am always the BOSS :-)
