an RV drinking hose is pretty cheap and can help with the refills.

also could i rather just cycle the tank with my oscar in it? doin water changes would be manditory tho right? even without gravel? im thinkin maybe half tank gravel or just some driftwood n rocks but dad thinks its not good to have rocks or just drifwood on glass tank bottom

Taking water out would require starting the siphon by sucking on the other end.

Move the old filter to the new tank when it is ready. Run it at the same time with the new filter. Leave it barebottom

better to have the oscar in the larger tank and cycle rather than a smaller tank.

Have you bought an API freshwater master test kit yet?

is that the 5 in 1 test kits? i had a couple but i need more ,the water mixed with the rest of the kits by accident D: or maybe thats my ammonia kit idk forget what one i need again

also that bag n bio stuff u told me to get for my filter should i buy it asap? with my python? so i can water change then set the filter up to run? orrrr what should i do bout the filter? those scrubbers? , n to wipe my stuff off after i drain my vinigar should i use those nylon scrubbers u showed me or paper towel should be fine just elbowgrease

You need the filter media as soon as possible. If you can't find the plastic scrubbies locally, then get the media bag with the bio-max or matrix. I would buy the bio-media and the API freshwater master test kit before the python. If you can buy the python, bio-media, and test kit at the same time then go ahead.

The 5 in one test are practically useless. Those are test strips.

hmm okay how much do that kit usually go for? also does the python go by inches or ft? and is there anyone thats good like that water changer but not expensive and my tank from bathroom sink is about 10 feet or so , and also for my tank i heard less decoration less smar the fish could be so i was wandering someone told me to forget the gravel would be simpler to just have nothin on bottom n maybe some rocks or wood sounds great but idk if this is possible without messing my bottom of tank up and also idk what would be good kinda rock/wood
