take a pic if you can...

you can try using your finger nail to scratch it off ~ was this a saltwater tank? try turning your lights down a bit ....

I use kitchen scrubbers. Try a little part of the tank first to see if it scratchet it but kitchen scrubbers are great.

Without a liquid test kit, water quality is not assured as being good.

i doubt my water is the problem tho ;\ and its not coming off with scrubbies or my finger alone, i hope its just under the tank or something

If you don't have a test kit, then you cannot rule out water quality.

Looks like calcium deposits to me. Was this used as a SW tank? It's not algae.....

I would ask you to test the PH & hardness of your tap water.....this is why you need a master test kit. You must be able to test the parameters of your water...you're "flying blind" w/out a test kit.
