Tfaile created the topic: New Oscar tank filter

Hello,

I recently rescued two Oscars that were dumped at a local fish shop. They are about 6-7" now, no clue how old they are. My setup consists of 120 gallon long tank, two 300 watt heaters, and a fluval fx4. This tank was originally a salt water tank with a sump and I was wondering if this filter is adequate for these guys or if I should use the sump or another filter along side this one. I have read that they are extremely messy and have seen the mess they leave behind eating. Maybe I am being paranoid but I want to make sure I have the right setup.

you can try to observed first.... basically, aside from messy fish they are, over-feeding contributes the built up of toxin... with frequent water change, FX4 can cope with the two while still small.... just make adjustment later on
