OFL created the topic: Attention Moderators and Admin's

Hey guys, from now on when you move a thread from this category, please do not leave a ghost message. The whole forum is getting completely jammed up with ghost messages. I am toying with the idea of removing the "new topic" tab from the top menu because quite frankly I'm getting a little bit cheesed off with people posting on the wrong category all the time.

Thanks guys and gal

I don't really know the ins and outs of running a forum, but isn't it possible to set the default topic category as "none" and not let it post until the member actively chooses a category? I don't know just a thought...

I don't think so, when somebody clicks on "new topic" in the forum menu at the top they are presented with all the different categories, if they don't choose one it automatically by default is placed in the top category which is the category this thread is located in. This is a new feature that wasn't included in the old software so I'm not surprised people are getting confused, is easy for people like myself who are familiar with the workings of this forum to just assume that people should know better. However, it keeps happening so I am wondering whether we should just do away with this feature . People will then have to enter the specific category that they want to place their thread in, personally I think this is probably the best way to go will stop

good plan.;)
It is indeed getting annoying, to find so many threads in the news-section, by accident.

I think we should have a bit of fun and just shoot everyone who posts in the wrong category :-)

Last time I posted a topic, I noticed the "new topic" button wasn't there. So I went to the category I wanted to post in, then clicked "new topic". I worked fine for me, I think it is a decent work around until another idea pops up.
