Thanks LF. I will be continuing to hunt for him. I'll break open the deco as last resort. I can get the same one if I want replace it. I hope he's in there and ok. He is really cool looking and probably the smallest pleco I've ever seen in person.

I noticed a "Glade" bottle next to the tank. I'm not sure what it is but I've heard that certain air fresheners can be harmful to fish. I believe this is mostly the case with aerosol sprays. I don't think that's what you have beside the tank, but I wanted you to be aware of that Just in case.

I would be willing to bet he is in that log. If it is like the one I have, it is completely hollow, and there would be no way to really inspect it.

Robham I agree. I was able to see most of the inside of it using a flashlight. Also filled it up with water and drained it. I'm gonna check again 2moro. I'm hoping that he's just tucked in somewhere by choice and not stuck.

I am sure he is, and leaving it alone is probably the best bet. Even if the fish was stuck, the only thing you could do is break the decor apart, and that would most likely kill him. Be patient, and check after lights out, he may be out and about.

Will do. He's so small that I don't there is a spot it there that he could actually get stuck in. Hoping he comes out by 2moro. Last time I saw him was about this time last night.

remember having a tyre track eel once.. we thought had been eaten or gone without a trace.. it turned up a few years later when my dad was striping the tank down to sell it... it had grown loads but never showed itsself during the day for all that time... ;) ;)
