That species invaded several Philippine rivers as well as other areas like Florida. I actually somehow dislike this species cause it killed my silver dollar before.

I completely understand you. That type of pleco is very adaptive and can harm a lot the other, local species in the tropical areas.
For me it does great job as an aquarium pet.
I'm surprised that a pleco can kill silver dollar fish.

The pleco was "cleaning" the side of the fish. This has been said occur in angelfishes and discus and has happen to many of my fishes like goldfishes.
Sadly, though, these rivers are already biologically dead in the first place.

Oh, yes, I've seen how pleco was attacking, "cleaning " on YouTube.
About the damage of some environmental areas, so sad, very bad news to know. We, human beings are responsible for that.

In fact. I think I remember one of the motive of the fish being introduce is that they will clean the river, as their other name suggest, the janitor fish.

Hi again!
What's new, since couple of days I'm with 1 Oscar fish. The other one was taken back to the pet store.
Here are some pictures for better description of the current situation.

That one, no matter of the early age or small size, attacks everything which moves, and that really surprised me, because I thought in that age, baby oscars are more like school fish, swimming together.
