Rumor mill is saying Han & Leia's kid could be the new Sith apprentice. I have no idea how accurate any of the rumors are and I don' t care they will still get my money opening day.... I just hope I don't spend the next 10 years complaining about how they FCKD it up...like the last trilogy

Well the Clone Wars series that my son likes to watch has multiple Sith, though some are Sith assassins and not full fledge lords. Some of them, like Ventrice carry the lightsabers of her Jedi victims and so occasionally uses something other than red, though that is the usual color. Have never read the fan fiction, but enjoy some of the expanded story lines they develop in the CW. Darth Mall, for instance, lives past his defeat by Obi Wan.

As long as they stay true to the spirit of the film series, I am not too concerned about a few specific details.

Most Sith Lords followed the Rule of Two, (started by Darth Bane) ....... some eschewed it (Darth Krayt)........but thought they may use The Dark Side of the Force, their is a huge difference between Dark Jedi or a Sith Acolyte, or Dark Side Adept...which is what Ventress was......& a true Sith.......the former may be able to use the Dark Side, but a Sith bends that power to his will......a Jedi will let the Force flow through him, but will follow the will of The Force.......but a Sith will be the living manifestation of the power of the Dark Side, which is why they are so powerful, & also why their physical forms burn out quickly.

The Sith are most powerful when they number two......one Master, one Apprentice.......one to embody the power, the other to crave it......while the Light side of the Force is distributed amongst hundreds of Jedi, the Dark Side is focused between only two.......which is why it usually takes more than 1 Jedi to take down a Sith.......

Jedi lightsabers use natural crystals for the focusing beam, which is why they vary in color. Sith, however, use artificial crystals forged in a machine & embued w/ the power of The Dark Side by it's creator.......which is why they are red in color........& possibly more powerful. True Sith DO NOT have green, blue, purple, etc blades......only red.

I also don't like that new lightsaber....I'm not the only one:

www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-switch/wp/2014/11/28/master-bladesmith-new-lightsaber-design-is-a-terrible-idea/

I have a bad feeling about this......

I see from this authoritative trailer that indeed the Sith lords are suppose to have red lightsabers.

Right back @ ya Norm:

Ben.....read a gazillion SW books......I do not recall a single instance of a Sith, even in the Old Republic books (Sith Empire), using anything other than a red/crimson blade. I do know that Luke Skywalker did turn to the Dark Side, actually apprenticing himself to the resurrected Palpatine, but if I remember correctly, he had a crimson blade.
