How many of you are drooling at that thought? :P

I had eight long boxes of comics that I had been collecting since the mid 1970s. All bagged and boarded. Sold them all on Craigslist a few years ago.

These days, I mostly buy TPBs (trade paperbacks), Marvel Masterworks (hardbacks), and Marvel Omnibus (hardback) editions. Got a large bookshelf half full of those.

I'm not sure what this means.

Marvel has had success with their movie franchise since Blade was released in 1998.

Marvel yes Sony not so much. Sony is letting Marvel/Disney use their heroes (spiderman) which in turn should benefit the franchise. Ideally I would like for Marvel/Disney to hold the rights to all their heroes and use them as guest heroes when ever the need arises, just like the comic books.

It seems that I am a bit uninformed regarding the Marvel movies.

So Spider Man and the Avengers cast can't be in the same movies? I'm confused.

Sony owns the rights to Spiderman, Fantastic 4, Xmen, Daredevil ? and a few other Marvel Characters, Marvel/Disney own the rest. Sony is letting MCU borrow spider man, he is now able to be cast in any MCU movie (Avengers :woohoo: ) and they can do their own stand alone Spiderman if they choose.
