Managed to get a download of some River Monsters eps... Looks like an awesome show! The first one... gives you more respect for piranhas!

Watching them back to back atm, this is way better than Tanked, lol.

Btw, Lamm, sent you a PM. And thanks for telling me about the show.

ETA: Tera is now wandering around, making chomp/gulp noises, while making a chomping motion with his hand. And has started making dinner. Apparently the piranhas made him hungry o.O

It is an amazing show. For fish lovers, I think river monsters is better than tanked because tanked seems to defy aquarium care logic.

Tanked also is a bit more about the pranks and stuff they get up to.

I'd say RM is more educational, Tanked is more eye candy when you're lying on the couch with a heatpack.

I always say that River Monsters is one of the few shows left in Animal Planet.

Turtle- you may be right.

Daddadoo- I noticed that as well, he does seem like he's making it a bit dramatic, especially with those mouth close ups, but it's still pretty awesome.

Just to see if your son remembers a little bit of trivia, see what answer he gives when you ask him the record weight caught for an Alligator Gar (365lb). I bet he answers it right within seconds. :)

River Monsters often gets a slot on prime-time ITV at around 7:30 PM in the evening. What makes River monsters so popular is you don't necessarily have to be an angler to enjoy the programme. It's more a mixture of angling and biology, explaining about the fish and its behaviour, often trying to find what sort of fish has attacked people in these countries. Jeremy doesn't really talk about fishing, or the tackle much, he makes the whole show very interesting for anyone. Also, I like the fact that he always goes to wild places and fishes for completely wild fish, not captive bred fish That I living in commercially stocked rivers and ponds. I know that he hates these sort of places.

I may not always be right, but I am always the BOSS :-)

Although recently, Monster Fish episodes seem to be nearly as dramatic as River Monsters. I just dislike one episode of the new season of River Monsters, the Jungle Terminator.

Interesting is that in one episode, the Asian Slayer, when he was fishing in Gillham's Fishing Resort, he said that it was like he died and went to fishing heaven even though it is a pond with stocked fish.

I haven't got that far yet! Curious now...

Might watch another ep before bed, can't sleep in tomorrow. Gotta be somewhere in the morning.

Maybe he could come try fishing here... the ep could be called "Do Trout Exist Here Outside Day One Of School Holidays?".
