Owls are very cool. Lots here, but actual sightings are kinda rare. I have seen owls in flight 2 maybe 3 times ever. They make NO SOUND. Amazing.

Actually this is one of the experiments they carried out. They carried out a test in a controlled environment using a pigeon, kestrel, and a barn owl. The pigeon and the kestrel were both fairly noisy. However, the barn owl was absolutely silent, even the very sensitive microphones didn't pick up a single sound, it was absolutely amazing. However, there are also saying that the disadvantage with having these type of feathers is that they are not waterproof which can obviously be a big disadvantage when it's raining and cold.
