Whoa 10,000 bucks?
Can i ask what happened, surgery or something?
Or i can mind my own business if you like... :)

cherry eye...which is when the third eyelid perfirates out. usually a $200 surgery... she ended up being allergic to the stitches and the meds cause her to go on life support for a week... then the eye need to be re checked....were at $3000 now.... bring her home..and she is home a week and the other eye does the same thing....our vet didnt want to risk the same problem so he sent us to the specialist... $1000 to walk in the door....after all was said and done...about 4 months...we racked up 10 000 in boarding, meds and surgeries....brutal....she was worth every penny

we rescued her to begin with... she was left in a park... my girlfriend and i found her while we were walking our other two... after putting up signs and making the necessary phonecalls we took her in...then a couple weeks later is when the eye stuff happend.....she also had a unbilical hernia at the same time...

such a beauty tho

Your babies looks so cute.

Kudos to you and your girlfriend for the rescue! Like Roxy said, I wish there was more people like you. I just read some news about people abandoning their dogs in the Everglades to fend for themselves. Some of them end up dying or getting sick due to malnourishment. I have four dogs myself and I can't imagine abandoning them even if their maintenance is quite high. My oldest dog is turning 15 years old this December and he's had more procedures done in the past 2 years than I ever did my entire life, not to mention a medical bill of a little over $11,000. But he acts like a puppy and has an appetite of an growing boy so even against others' advices, I'm keeping up with his treatment because I can see the difference it makes in his life. Pets are a part of the family and that makes them priceless. :)
