I've only seen them on TV, but I know according to Cats 101, they are outgoing & affectionate, get cold real easy (& wear sweaters), but do have some skin related issues, including skin cancer.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.

I have chinese crested that are hairless dogs so Im guessing they will be similar in skin care. I would say its an indoor only cat they cant really go out in the Uk and you dont want it stolen. They are like cresties in that their bodies are hotter than other breeds so they dont need to be wrap up as people think. If its cold then a tshirt will do but you dont need that all year only in really cold times. Otherwise you will ruin their skin.

But with my dogs I just keep their skin clear no heavy products like strong soap, tea tree is good but check for cats as alot of things harm cats and Im not sure if tea tree is one of them. But its just a case of keeping skin clean and dry, if it drys out then use moisturiser but again a baby soft one would be good as they have delicate skin. Cats have skin that tears, Im guessing you know that already as you have had cats before.

They are meant to be very friendly, independent and like cuddles.

I'm living my life, but not necessarily in the right order :)

They are great cats, very affectionate but they are also very noisy, since they don't have fur they do require bathing regularly. They are very needy cats though :)

I say you stick with the maincoon ;)

If anything I highly recommend a ragdoll cat, that is what Mishka was, they are very chill and can be held as if they are liquid, very sweet, quiet, cats, just about one of the best breeds.
