I have black sand now. Was thinking I would mix in some white sand...What you guys think?

Dunno Steve.. look a little too fake maybe? Might take a little glow away from Sarge too? Just speculating, but if you did it and didnt like, kinda impossible to separate.

Aesthetics are all up to you ... But it looks ok I did it once when I cared in like a pattern in the sand some black some white gravel was ok and mixed it become a bit more construed

You could always try it on a small scale first. Maybe if you have a small fish bowl laying around mix some in there and add water to see what it looks like before you do a whole tank. Personally I think it'd look good. I did a few of my betta tanks in a similar fashion but with gravel. I used mainly black gravel and mixed some extra neon that I had laying around and I really liked it. You could maybe do a 1: 0.5 ratio so either the white or black stands out more.

All I will add is dark colors quickly over run the light ones so half and half will look much more black than white

. Yeah I know I'm using 2 parts black 1 part white. Don't wanna lose Sarge lol. It looks great....I think.
