Im setting up a tank when i get one later on sometime, i want a 30 gal long, but not sure on the size of those or were to get them besides petco or petsmart and their so exspensive the only cheap 30 gals are the highs , but anyway id need a stand too prob but i was wonder what are good fish to have in a 30 gal long? i want atleast 2 of something dont have to be a pair but can be, also wanna upgrade my 55 gal to a 75 sometime for my O to live in forever i wish he could do a 55 forever but hes 6 inches now and i got him 12/26/13 so hes growin fast and i got him at about 1.5 inches

for the 30 you can get a dwarf gourami and a whole bunch of barbs / tetras

cherry barbs are pretty cool

you'd be surprised how many fish you could put in a 30 gallon when every fish is tiny. bio load is quite different from big messy cichlids.

it really is dependent on what you want do you want community tank or a cichlid tank

like what kind of rainbow fish? also i dont like gournami's besides the giant and the kissing ones O: , but tetras and barbs are kinda cool just havnt seen a species of them i like, i usually like the mostly uncommon species or fish that are uncommon to other peoples area , idk i just like to go for something thats unique and different and my favorite kind of fish are cichlids if that helps at all

are they fish that live in shells? thats kinda badass sounding but all i can find and see are mainly just all shells so idk if its fish or hermit crab or something xD haha kinda lost on what the species is but that looks different deffinitely and i dont mind the ideas of having 1 fish in a 30 gal long either, if 1 big fish is interesting enough to me and can live in a 30 to max the stock level id do that but idk of any
