You still have two tanks that need something in them....

They definitely can. There's a chain of screaming in my big tank. Adie makes Henry flail away. As revenge he gets cranky at a SD, then the SDs swim away looking absent minded as always.

Mine used to get 'stuck' during water changes. Like, one or two would get separated from the group and they'd just freeze up next to something and wouldn't move, or would wedge themselves sideways under a fake plant leaf then act like they were glued to the leaf or something. You could unstick them by gently pushing them away from what they were 'stuck' on towards their friends, then they'd happily swim off like nothing happened.

Don't worry about Capone killing the SDs. SDs are stupid but they're incredibly fast when they want to be. I want to tell you that they'll learn to stay away from him, but in all honesty mine haven't figured out that Henry thinks they're biscuits. That's why one of mine has a scrape that is literally an outline of Henry's lower jaw on its side. Their biggest advantage is that their shape means they can't be eaten (or even really bitten properly) by an oscar, and their skin is incredibly tough, even if their little silver scales come off really easily.

They're more likely to injure themselves, tbh. If they get startled they blindly dart around, and that sometimes = running into tank walls or decor. Oh, mine also flip out during w/cs. They either huddle in the corner or dart around banging into things.

Fun fish though, aside from the stupidity :P
