Really its not me, its Porkchop. She just will not sit still one minute when Im trying to get a pic.

Just get a tripod or crank up your ISO setting to 6400 if you are able. Easy to take decent shots of any fish no matter how fast! B)

What fish is that? Is that what a pearsei looks like as a baby?

@DMD123 - Porkchop is so cute. Wish I had one. Is a 4 ft. 75 gallon tank too small for a pearsei?

Yeah its a pearsei is ugly as hell lol. The walls in the basement bathroom are red (long story) so they distort pics. At the lfs they were pale whitish/yellow with some belly blothces and light stripes

Thats what a baby Pearsei looks like. Its in the same category as an Oscar so while a 75g would work... because of sheer size a 125g would be much better. Porkchop is a great community fish, love her personality.

You got a Pearsei?!?! Awesome!

I think the giant googly eyes and ridiculously oversized dorsal fin make it look adorable in an 'ugly duckling' kind of way.

LOL! Dude that is an UGLY fish...

Pearsei are NOT impressive as little fish but will color up and get the distinctive brown belly and iridescent green at about 6 inches. Thankfully they are like Oscars and put on size at an inch a month and then slow at about 10 inches.

The pearsei will be great in your community but you will need to be patient for it to develop. Awesome fish Frank!
