In all fairness, the company are being quite helpful at the moment so hopefully it will be resolved.

The company are doing me a new hood and condensation covers that should fit this time. We are going to add supports at the edges of the tank. Hopefully everything should work out just fine. The fish have settled in really well, in fact the Severums spawning for the second time this morning. The thought of taking everything out and starting again is rather scary.

Im very sorry about it too...

with you spending all that time, energy and $$$ setting it up to now only be able to start over should have some repercussions. I had an issue once with my son's dresser, broken hinges, corners, etc. Obviously not even close to your issue but I share because I took it back to the store where I purchased it, showed them the problems, etc. Long story short, they replaced it a 3rd time. I only was able to get the manager to apologize all night and a 30% discount on that dresser and other baby items, furniture, etc. (It was a substancial savings).

Now with your situation, obviously with no guarantee of a quality replacement from teh company, demand a complete replacement and a 100% refund. Under the circumstances I think you are highly likly to get a full or near full refund and a complete replacement.

Obviously list your issues in bullet format as you give it to them and while stating the replacement must not have any of these issues, ie. no support on edges, poor condensation removal, etc.

Based on the issue I had with my sons stuff I think your highly likely to win this one....

I find the best way to deal with companies who sell shoddy goods is to keep a blank small claims court form which you can get from your local county court. I copy it each time i need to fill it in. I fill it in with the details of the product that is faulty how much im claiming and the compensation that i expect because of the inconvenience. Then i send a copy and give them till the close of business on a certain date or i will submit the claims form to the court. Every time i have used this method it has worked.
