I think that's a good decision, don't get me wrong jags are awesome and diffently on my dream fish list but keeping anything in the parachromis family is a whole new level of fish keeping

Just FYI, & you probably already know this, but I have a Jag, & he beat the crap out a JD that was the same size & they were raised together, & that was in a 180. they were fine, but when they got to be a certain size, BAM, the kill switch went on. If you want to keep Jags, keep Jags. Oscars do not have the temperament or teeth to deal w/ a Jag. Even a smaller one will nip & chase at other fish.

THOSE WHO REFUSE KNOWLEDGE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.

I agree i don't think O's have a chance when it comes to other larger cichlid's like Dovii or jag's!!! I heard as well as not having teeth they also do not have the jaw strength to compete with them!!! Ive seen Vid's time and time again of Jags breaking the jaws of O's!!! It's pretty brutal!
