Nice. Another member in NC.
The odds aren't good , but maybe one day I'll have a breeding pair of Tigers. I just bought 2 as juvies. So like I said, probably not.

But good luck with your search.

Thanks guys. An a 150 gallon is what they will go in. Setup with 2 heaters, 2 150g filters, river rocks for spawning. I think they will love it

Just a word to the wise......be wary of anyone selling a "breeding pair" of Oscars,or any cichlid for that matter. Just because they bred for someone does not mean they will breed for you. And no one would really want to sell a proven pair of breeders, as they really are a cash cow. And you will get no guarantee that they will breed, & they will be quite expensive. You would be better of buying 6 babies & letting nature take it's course & let them pair naturally. But you will have to worry about what to do w/ 4 mature Oscars @ that point.

THOSE WHO REFUSE KNOWLEDGE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.

Getting @ least 6 is the "tried & true" method of securing a pair, the odds are in your favor mathematically.
