Here is a vid of my two other sevs. I have had them since mid October and the big one is maybe 3.5 inches. Slow growers. Anyone want to try and sex these two? I chose the small one thinking it might be female, but was just a guess as was only 2 inches at time of purchase. Have thought about adding a small pleco to this tank, maybe a green spotted, but would probably max out the bio-load, if I did.

So cute, but they're so small it's really hard to tell. Do either of them have some iridescent spangling on their face? If so it's probably a male - females don't have those markings (you've seen pics of Adie). Males will generally have longer fin trailers as well but that isn't a sure way of telling.

Severus definitely has the speckling and I think the larger one in this vid does. His and Harry (larger sev in vid) fins are definitely longer and pointier than the smaller one (Hermionie). Yeah, kind of figured it would be too hard to tell at this size. Pretty sure that Severus (in my 125) is male, but less certain about these two (Harry and Hermionie); although as you can see by their names, I have already decided their genders! The fins on both Severus and Harry are longer and pointier than the one you have pictured here. I would take a still shot but they are all in bed sleeping at the moment. (As should I be!)

ETA: You are much less intimidating with a goofy oscar than with a predatory bird as your avatar.

I took a very similar shot of Darth Vader a few months ago.

Lol, too cute. We should make it a thing for people to post pics of their oscars like that.. You need to post updates of your 125 and Darth Vader by the way!
