I saw the US economy mentioned here. The US economy is still the best and most diverse int he world, it's not growing at as quick a pace as it use to, but it is still hands down the best in the world. Wall Street? You can't go around the world without hearing it. New York city is the capital of capitalism, the economy is not in shambles like so many believe. No you can't go get crazy loans like you could in the early millennium and the 90's but I think it's better that way. You'll have less people going into dept, but the majority of Americans live a healthy and happy life under the terrible US economy. There are more home OWNERS in the United States alone then in most of the world combined. The economy is not bad, people just can't run credits like they were enabled in the past. Now you just have to be responsible. The so called failing economy is simply exaggerated by the mainstream media so that they have something to air. Seriously look at things collectively and don't believe everything you read or see. It's apparent that less then 3% of Americans read anymore...No wonder we are so gullible as a nation, the economy isn't a problem, Americans watching too much TV is. A failing economy is the 1/3 of the world population that goes to sleep hungry. Not the Americans that can't get approved for there 20th credit card.

Amen.

Keep in mind it's been 'fashionable' to hate (or at least be extremely critical) of America in every capacity these last 7 or 8 years regardless of the real facts.' It's funny, because there is so much apparent 'disdain' for the US across the world but yet...turn to the first story on any news channel in any part of the world and and who is it? Yep. The U.S. And our economy. Now, apparently, every city in the US is a ghetto and our whole financial edifice is on the verge of collpase. Again. This type of discussion happens about every 20-25 years or so on the dot. I remember the exact same talk about the US 'economy' in the 70's, and then with Japanese imports in the 80's...and on and on and on.

The media here in the US is very much to blame. I hate to paraphrase Michael Moore...but he was right when he said sowing fear SELLS. So, again, we get doom and gloom...and thus we watch and wring our hands. Hell, if i actually took everything said to heart this country should be about at 'Escape From New York' by now.

Every petco in my area is terrible! half of their tanks are over run with algae, ick, finrot, dead fish, ect. none of their (other then one that Ive talked to and kinda knew what she was talking about) know anything about fish or how to take care of them and what they need. their feeder fish tanks always have cloudy water and have dead ones at the bottom. My GF bought 2 angel fish from them and they both died within 2 weeks and petco wouldnt do anything for her. petsmart on the otherhand will replace it if its within 2 weeks and you bring in the body, but petsmart takes waaaaay better care of their fish and they have better knowledge of taking care of fish then petco (even though both companies belive an oscar can live in a 30 gallon tank thats lightly planted.............)
