That was only my opinion, not a fact. To really find out if lead is bad in tanks more research is needed. My personal opinion is they are ok in tanks with good water change schedules. If you are not sure they dont use them!

I can't get no sleep

Guys would using carbon help adsorb lead? I only ask as I've never really thought about those strips that hold the plants together, I've kept planted tanks for almost 10 years now and never had a problem with them, but once the plants got huge I'd take them off when pruning, got me thinking now...

1 tiger oscar 9"
1 Male Green Texas 5.5"
1 hypostomus pleco 11.5"
1 fire eel 13"
7 clown loaches 3.5" to 4.5"
1 lionhead cichlid 4.5"
3 corydoras cats 2"
Clown knife 12"

Planned upgrade 10' by 3' by 2.5' soon-ish :)

As Delboy says .... good water changing is the key and will remove any lead that seaps into the aquarium water...

Wish I had of thought of that earlier:( ;) :)

Hi guys, don't mean to sound like a smart arse but lead is perfectly safe for fish as it is not soluable in water. We used to use it for domestic water pipes remember.
