@Dolva all the sand in my tanks is playpit sand it seems heavier than normal and so is easy to clean and looks natural, I really like the change and have added to most of my tanks, the oscar tank has part sand gravel but most the sand has mixed into gravel now so you cnat tell lol.

Blackwater, is the tank design that most closely mimics the fishes natural habitat. So if you've got a bunch of SA/CA cichlids, it would be considered like the amazon river.

Think of it as taking a slice of the river and putting it into a fish tank :D

if you wanna black water fast get some almond leaves, tear them up into small pieces then wash them off in cold water put them in a coffee brewing sack put them on the stove in a nice pot of boiling water then once the water is black then turn off let cool and once cool then take out the coffee sack with the leaves inside it give it a squeeze to get more outta them and then once its room temp add it to the tank "ps if you are running a carbon filter, the carbon filter will take the color black out the water after time."
