My buddy has a 10 gallon with Two Banana plants, some dwarfhair grass, and an anacharis. He doses withPlant Gro, made by Nutrafin. He also has a couple algae eaters. Him and I kinda hbe the same setups, but he has more plants than I do. So I was wondering one day if he might have to many plants in the tiny 10 gallon of his, he also has a Marineland Single Bright LED light fixture. He leaves it on just about all day, every day

can his fish still swim? Are his plants growing well (or at least, ok)?

Then he's ok :)

Extremely dense planting is very doable, and not a problem, as long as you don't have rot.

In a 7 gallon, I have at least 6 valisneria, a whole mess of sunset hygro, java moss, a wisteria, five/six ludwigia stems and some anacharis (two stems).

Prune once a week, or there is too little swim room :) No one has gotten stuck yet, and water quality stays a-ok.

more plants equals better water quality and no algae..pending on certain factors that is. I always feel plants are like filtration, you can never have enough

this isn't quite true, if light can't reach down to the base of the plant (especially in new setups) the plant bottoms may rot, making a huge mess. But in more established setups this isn't always the case.
