Anyone have success with Amazon sword plant in there Oscar tank?
Maybe letting it grow in a clay pot so its not up-rooted?

Good luck Craig. The bigger it gets, the more target it is for Oscar. My O's pull everything out, plastic, wood, all furnishings plowed around every day.

My problem isn't my oscar so much as my poor water planting skills and the pleco. My O has been known to grab the tip of an 18 inch tall leaf and tear (swim) down to the bottom of the tank. Some kind of pulling game, but so far he hasn't decimated them. He has been surrounded by pretty dense Amazons most of his life so am hoping he won't decimate them when he is full grown, but he probably will.

Kind of off topic, but man, I feel like I'm missing out. I haven't caught Henry tinkering with anything in his tank yet aside from splitting sand around. The RDs have made their tanks into disaster zones though. The newest (smallest one) is probably the worst. She's managed to move almost all the sand in the right half of the tank into the front left corner. There was a sand hill almost 5 inches high before I did a w/c for her last night. Her previous water change was literally the day before :silly:

Anyway Craig, good luck but don't hold your breath :P
