One of my other hobbies, whenever I get the time and have the money to spend on rounds, is shooting guns. I thought it would be fun for people to post about guns, shooting etc. I know not all of our members can own/ shoot firearms on a regular basis, so maybe yall can live vicariously through us... ;)

I grew up in the country and have been shooting air rifles since I can remember. And though I went bird hunting a few times with my dad, I didn't really get into shooting/ buying guns until the last year or two. I don't have alot of guns, yet (they are expensive and it is difficult afford this AND fish keeping).
I do have a Ruger 10/22 carbine, a Remington 870 20 Gauge shotgun (my childhood bird gun), a Remington 870 Tactical 12 gauge shotgun and a Henry Big Boy colt 45 lever action rifle (my favorite).

My wife and I like to take trips out to my family's land to shoot about once a month. Here are a few videos.

And a couple of slow motion videos of the 12 Gauge Remington.

Weellll, I have no videos but I also grew up in the country. I saw all the time, growing up in the country all there is to do is booze cruise and shoot shit. Mostly in that order :p

I have shot a hell of a lot of guns. Ranging from a desert eagle to an ar-15. I've also gotten to shoot a 50 cal sniper. So much fun! We tried making a cannon one time, not even worthy to mention but we tried!

Personally I own a Benelli super black eagle 2, mossberg 20 gauge (for the girly) and also a 9mm pistol. Good topic, pics may come soon!

in my place, owning a gun is a tedious process... for responsible gun owner
but most criminals don't undergo the process... authorities are trying to
regulate gun ownership and go after those who have registered and failed to
renew but never lift a finger with those hardcore criminals...

this is why vigilantes are still prevalent... i can not say i have a gun
but won't run in any event without fighting....at the countryside, on
standby is an M-16; and 9mm; while at the city, there is a .45 always
ready for self defense

it's somewhat the same over here. It is easy to buy, own and carry a firearm, as long as you are abiding by the rules. but there are groups of people in the US that demand better gun control laws, especially after a public shooting. But most of the people committing these crimes are not obtaining their guns legally, especially those involved in gangs and drug cartels.
I'm sure this quote is getting old, but I think it applies "Guns don't kill people. People kill people."

we also took my 8 year old out to shoot for the first time a few months ago. she did pretty well considering she had no experience shooting, and the scope we were using would not stay on target for long.

here is her video

I know! she is a really great shot. She hasn't had a lot of practice, comes naturally for her I guess.

The restrictions on firearms in the UK is extremely tight, and if the government gets their way it will be even tighter. I'm afraid you would be lucky to get a licence to own a peashooter over here.

I may not always be right, but I am always the BOSS :-)
