Thanks daddadoo I know they need a bigger tank asap I'm just kind of in limbo with my living situation at the moment. I really want to keep them them together but I will leave one in the 55 and put the other in a new 75 if I absolutely left with no other options.

For now they have filtration and water changes that keep their environment in great specs

Bri as most have said Oscars reach sexual maturity from about 18 months so yours are probably too young. Might just be territorial aggression developing so probably need to keep close eye on them. Another thing albino and lutino Oscars can tend to have rather poor eyesight which can make them more aggressive. Is Ron or Vicky more of the aggressor?

Filtration will only go so far. Territories play apart. your fish your choice. Imo wouldnt be too bad if they didnt occupy the same areas in the tank say an o and small cat/pleco.
The other day you advised someone to rehome one of their oscars and i am pretty sure they had a larger tank than a 75...jusy sayin :)

This is right. Four feet is not enough for more than one large cichlid. I am even having territory issues in a four foot with two wild severums that are only three inches long. Cichlids need space. I recall another member had a 150 gallon that was only four feet. Tried to keep three in there and two got killed by another oscar. Even though he had the volume, the footprint just wasn't big enough Better to think about rehoming one if you can;t get the larger tank.

@ernie: I pm'd you back!

Daddadoo you guys have clearly showed me what they need. I'm just fairly stuck until I get a definitive on my living situation. Should not be much longer. While they get along so well and my wcs and filtration keeps the conditions good I will try and keep them together. I will tell myself to rehome or move 1 before they aren't safe or healthy.

Thanks D. I only brought up rehoming that persons pleco as from what I remember he had a bad filtration/water change regiment and was in a fairly dire situation. My O's are in an inappropriate tank size but get massive 48 wcs and have great filtration. It's the only reason they continue to do well. I will get them in individual tanks or a large one before either are subjected to harm. No offense taken whatsoever and I will always welcome opinions from folks like yourself with fat more experience than I have.
