welcome to the community.
first thing, how long is the tank set up?
if it is new, then your tank is not yet cycled,
the reason why you don't have nitrate...
having the fish already, you need to do daily water change
@20% without cleaning the filter...
i just hope you can pull it through.

The nitrite is very bad, possibly lethal. You need to add aquarium salt to the tank. 1tblsp per 5gals. This will protect the fish from nitrite. Use a good conditioner with water changes to protect from ammonia. Seachem Prime is most recommended. Treat for the entire tank volume, not just new water. If you have a friend, or maybe a local shop that could give/sell you some seeded bio media for your filter, that would be a great help
