well one way to rid them is the obvious, get rid of their food source. make a routine of very thoroughly cleaning your substrate during your weekly water change (id start cleaning the substrate more than usual till they are gone, atleast once a week, or preferably twice a week). like more so than usual. this will help eliminate the food available to them, and this should help get rid of them, along with your traps and manual removal of them if you happen to see them.

I did another water change and removed a bit of gravel. There's still a covering over the floor of the tank, but no where near as thick.
I only got two more worms out of that change, and one in the filter.
So in a few days, I can see if I got them all.
that is just frightning to pull stuff like that out of your fish tank. im going to send this vid over to a reef keepers website of local ppl i know and see what they think about it. i would definatly be setting up one of those traps with the nylon stocking and shrimp in the mean time.

I'm really not sure that buying crabs or the such is really the solution. I have got one of the best health books that have been published in recent times and they specifically talk about eradicating these type of pests using heat. So I'll repeat what I've already said, remove your fish and increase the temperature to 35°C and leave it like that for a few hours, hopefully this will kill all the worms.
I may not always be right, but I am always the boss

i had them in my tank to but after controlling the feeding a little bit it got better plus i removed the gravel on the bottom but i think bare tank look dumb
Ok. Update.
I did a few water changes, sifting through the substrate and got rid of a whole stack of the little things.
I removed a little bit of the pebbles so there's less place for them to hide.
After the water change yesterday, I only found one worm. So I think it's under control!! Yay.
Thanx all for the help!
