Gazza created the topic: Birth of a stand

Made the mistake of going to the hardware store after work this morning :pinch: I ended up with

4x 2.4 mt lengths of 75x35 structual pine and a big box of screws lol Game On :)

Measure twice cut once :pinch:

after a bit of screwing we all know how we like that :woohoo: the base of the top is ready for it's 17mm form ply top ;)

The base will only have the sump so no need for the extra brace :)

The screws used pilot drilled

Time 2-3 hrs to tha stage

and the tank behind is what it's going on

Miscalculation on the timber required it needs legs Dopey lol

:pinch: :pinch:

and a teaser a pic of my soon to be reptile tank nearly done need to get the gunk white film off the inside of the tank

I love DIY :silly: :woohoo:

more to come

decided this is going to be a mini me of my main tank Cabinet same height Stand etc

Hope you enjoy the build

hey gaz i know a thing or two about reptiles and just to let you know sand isn't the best substrate for them due to impaction. the best way to go for any reptile is natural tiles or ceramic tiles. just a heads up! what are you planning on putting in that tank?
