jnet created the topic: tank build is this right?

No eBay APP ID défined in Kunena configurationok sorry I keep making new threads on this but I always loose the thread but I found this acrylic is this what Im looking for? :)

Im looking to make my tank I think ;)
26wide (cant go wider because got to fit through my doors) :)
75long (because thats the biggest length I can realistically have.)
58 high (I love the idea of having a tall tank.)

These are in inches and I think that makes it about a 400gal if I rember right.

But also is there any issues of having a tank on the floor? Does it upset fish or anything I mean is there a reason why people have on stands that benefits fish? I understand the balance out weight thing but surely I can do that with a stand that isnt very high. Also I have concrete floor but do I need to get it checked it has all my fish tanks on it now fine.

I'm living my life, but not necessarily in the right order :)

10mm isnt thick enough for a 400 gal and you got to make sure that it is cell cast acrylic.

tHis is driving me mad I just want all the stuff and to get going on this thing but I cant seem to find anything its frustrating here in the UK there is nothing in the way of DIY and I work for a DIY shop lol.

I cna see that even making it myself might cost me abit.

I'm living my life, but not necessarily in the right order :)

Height is the killer here...at 58" high you would need 2" thick acrylic according to the calculator. I would keep it under 30" high

if you went 26 tall, then you could increase the width and maybe find a way to increase the lenngth?

I cant go any longer than that because my door into the kitchen is there :)

Also if I go wider than it takes too much room off my living room. :)

Is this back to the drawing board again?

I'm living my life, but not necessarily in the right order :)

The thicker you go with the acrylic the price of the sheets increases exponentially, so your kind of in a tough spot unless you can find more space...
