ehall67 created the topic: Feeding Floating Pellets with an Aqu Overflow

Hey possibly the easiest DIY project ever !! But oh well it is useful.. I have a new aquarium that I have a Overflow on ... And with the overflow as those of us that have them know it is dang near impossible to feed floating pellets ... so I had just bought a brand new Large pack of floating pellets and did not want them to go to waste so I figured out a way to use them in my 265 with a overflow!!

all I did was take a plastic container and turn it upside down allow it to fill with some water so it would sink a little and then put a piece of clear tape from the top of the container to the top of my aquarium to keep it in place from floating and wha-La the floating pellets could no longer be pushed into my overflow do to the container shielding them! and If I don't want it in the tank all I have to do is take it out... :)

The fish took a few days to warm up to is being in their tank but I left it in there with some food on the inside and they now love knowing where their food is going to be because every time I am by the tank they line up by the container waiting for food haha!!

here are two pics of it might do a video later but wanted to get this simple solution up today :)

thanks for looking hope it can help some of you that had the same issues I did

Gonna give it a try!
Good idea, better than getting the pellets out with a spoon, like do now with the floating pellets..or huffing and puffing to get the pellets away from the overflow.... :pinch:
