mag 1800gph pump
the bottom with some random filter median

pvc through the rubbermaids these hold the drip tray.

different angle

the pvc sits on the bottom rubermaid's lip it will hold plenty weight.

luffas inside.

and here it is inside before the holes.

prefilter on top

i used my old spray bars it wasnt as loud.

nice project,
however I would be worried about the holes on the side where the PVC pipes run through, might be a concern if the pump stops and the bin fills up. easy way to solve this is fill up those holes with silicones.

I filled the tank to where the Grey rubbermaid is full. The holes aren't in the bottom one.

Your bio-media are loofas? I would've used plastic bio-balls, you will have to clean these fairly often as they will clog....

Way to go! More plastic tub trickle filters is exactly what the world needs!

Keep an eye on it as it reaches the two year mark, many start to leak around then, especially (for some reason) with harder water.

alright ill keep an eye out i do have hard water. I went ahead and bought pot scrubbers and moved the loofahs to the bottom and in the overflow towers. ill have to keep them clean but they dont block flow
