Those pics were taken with a canon7D. But I do have a regular canon point and shoot.. And it's actually easier to use.
A few things to remeber is to use a Fast Shutter Speed to catch the Oscars movements. That way u get good detail. Also lighting plays a huge part too. The pics seen just have a basic desk light hanging over the tank with room and tank lights Off. Oh..And disable flash on your camera as not to "blowout" pic and scare fish.
JasonR/Cebosound.. U both have great pics :) great job!

Hey thanks for the tips Aaron! Yeah mines a fairly old point and shoot. I've messed with the shutter speed and such, but its just not that fast of a camera. Like Cebo said, the sharpness is awesome and I just can't achieve it with the cam I have. I plan on upgrading soon though.

*i think im gonna use this thread to update..instead of making a new one.

today makes 5months since i purchased them at 1-2 inches. they have grown sooo fast over the months. the largest of the 4 is around 6-7 inches.. as they have all been growing at their own pace along with their own "personalities" i have been trying to feed a variety of food > Cichlid Bio-Gold(white), Cichlid Gold(red), Cichlid Staple(green), krill, crickets, feeder fish, meal worms, and crayfish.
its been very exciting..so i thought i would share a few pics. Aloha.
