Here are some update photos notice as i was asking about red tiger colors in the normal part of the board for oscars.

see they are orange and the orange scales are spaced apart like netting kind of and also they seem to have a over cast of darkish black coloring on them as almost as if there was a black stocking over them... this is why i always ask about coloring because they seem not to have alot of color on them and it's smudgy looking with black hue?

Beautiful Oscar! As for the color, they look pretty normal, but just to make sure.. you have strong filteration, the right temperature water, and do water changes consistantly right? Sometimes the colder water can make your Oscar look not as coloforul, I keep mine's about 79-81 degrees and he loves it. I also do 50% water changes minimum a week and mine has quite a nice color. It also could be your Oscars diet, are you feeding a pellet? Feeding him a varied diet? There's a lot of things that add up.

We aren't joking when we say water changes and Prime are the best solution to a problem.

Hi my water is almost 80 degrees and i feed hikari bio gold + and been feeding them this for like a month now.
I was feeding them niles bio gold normal gold and omega one all the time so this is why last month or so i said let me try sticking with one type of pellet.... and that's how they look.

I do 50% water change every week and have 200gl worth of purigen running through my filters also.

I now also made and hooked up a denitrate coil filter and am waiting for it to cycle..

I don't know i see lots of oscars i feel mine are the less colorfull type with speckles of orange spaced apart and a smear of smoke black color makes them look dirty looking looking like most wild ones i see people with that caought by a fishing pole in the wild?

It also might be your camera, I don't know I think your Oscars look fine.. and between you and me, I like Omega One better, it's whole salmon. Genetics can play and your Oscar might just not be as colorful, I don't know you seem to be doing everything right, so don't even get stressed.
