Since a week the light in my tank is changed and it really reflect to the colouration of my small lutino oscar. The orange colour (which is its real colour) turn into red ;) Actually it is tricky way to turn fish in intensive red lol
Some pictures for comparison.

With the old light.

With the new light.

The old light.

That last photo is awesome, with your permission I think we will put it in the photo gallery. What camera are you using?

I may not always be right, but I am always the BOSS :-)

Of course you can use the photo, it's a pleaser for me to share my photos.
I use my old Nikon D3000 with 40mm lens.

That's right- a lot of factors influence to the coloration. Personally I'm happy my fish to be with intensive red.
Thanks that you like my lutino. Soon I'll try to post some couple of pictures with better quality.

Have you ever tried a rubber hood on your lens to take fish photos? I just ordered one for my D800 as I read they are good for getting rid of glares and reflections.

Couple of years ago I bought my 40mm lens with a robber hood, it was part of the set and I think it does great job.
I use Nikon but it is d3000, your d800 is far better, I mean advanced.
