Theirs a lesson to learn their Matt. Buy a second hard drive and keep all files on that.
Used Mac, linux and windows and by far prefer windows easier to fix.

Oh me too, I despise macs, I run lunix on my laptop to confuse people, but i prefer windows for some sadistic reason, maybe because command line gives me a headache after a while

Lmao i always thaught it was because windows was easier to hack than any others. Ooops i didn't say that.
But that aside for gaming which mines built for windows is the most stable system (Pity the devolpers can't get it right though).

I like the Windows too but no matter what you use remember to back up your stuff.

Only back it up once?
I use two after the last time windows went wrong and messed up the back up drive and main.

I have 4 drives set up on a remote PC that's running server 2008, striped raid, If i lose anything, it won't be gone for long since I back up every night.

Fry a PC or two and you learn these things

Only ever fried one and thats when a water pipe blew straight over the cpu and gfx cards.
More fool me for putting a pipe back i had doubts about.

I have always used windows but because I am a loyal ipod, ipad and iphone girl now I thought I would consider those amazing looking Mac products...but nah...just cannot make the leap (yet)
